Qi35 Core Driver

The TaylorMade Qi35 Core 10.5° spent multiple rounds in play during this field test, and the early experience was encouraging enough that it temporarily reclaimed the driver slot, something that hadn’t happened in quite a while.

First Impressions

The first thing that stood out was how easy the Qi35 Core is to hit.

Drivers tend to leave the bag quickly when they introduce volatility. The Qi35 Core did the opposite, it immediately felt playable.

At address, the head shape looks clean and confidence-inspiring. It sits square behind the ball and doesn’t feel oversized or distracting.

The overall impression is that the club is designed to help players keep the ball in play, not punish slight misses.

On-Course Performance

Through several rounds, the Qi35 Core produced exactly what most golfers want from a driver:

consistent launch and playable misses.

The 10.5° loft made it easy to get the ball airborne without producing excessive spin, and the ball flight tended to stay in a controllable window.

Even when contact drifted slightly toward the heel or toe, the results remained usable.

That level of forgiveness was enough to make the driver a legitimate option off the tee again.

Distance and Ball Flight

Distance with the Qi35 Core was solid and predictable.

While this field test wasn’t focused on chasing maximum yardage numbers, the driver produced reliable carry distances and a consistent trajectory.

More importantly, the ball stayed in the fairway or in playable areas far more often than drivers that previously rotated through the bag.

For many golfers, that type of controlled distance is far more valuable than the occasional extra yard.
